This selection and losing all traces of the program under Donahue seems like a big clusterf***. Way to go Noel... what were you thinking?
This selection and losing App is one big clusterfu**
Dude, give the guy a chance. Noel is running a great ship right now. Do you have insight on the full process? If not, you are just blowing smoke.
It is not unusual or unexpected for new coaches to bring their own assistants in or hire new assistants - App is just starting his coaching career and would be moving on to join someone he knows. Really think all this talk about having to have a previous person with direct ties to Donahue or the Ivy League is way overblown. Our new guy just left being an assistant to one of the great coaches in college basketball (Seth Greenberg) and has experience working with other great coaches and programs. As much as we all love what Donahue accomplished, it doesn't mean that his way or people are the only way or people to continue the success he started. We should be glad that the program is viewed as offering an attractive head coaching job and that top flight assistants interviewed and were finalists for it. All that matters in the end is whether the players and future recruits buy into the new Coach's philosophy and plan and by all accounts Courtney looks to be the kind of coach that will inspire this --from his pedigree, I think he will be fine with the x and os.
