God help that school. I'm sure that those kids deserve better.

i don't think it's ethical to subject a K-12 school to Dave Bliss...

Wait, am I missing something. Who is Dave Bliss?

would someone in the know like to clarify the meaning of these comments to us outside the loop?

strike that, just read the article.

for those of you not in the know, Bliss coached men's basketball at Baylor when one of his players murdered another player. In order to hide the fact that he was illegally paying $$ to those players in violation of NCAA regulations, he told the rest of his players and staff to invent a story about how the dead player was actually a drug dealer (in order to explain how he had that kind of money). This conversation was secretly recorded by one of Bliss's assistant coaches, and the rest of history.

I remember playing in a pick-up game in Barton Hall in spring of1965 and as I was driving to the hoop, Bliss undercut me and caused some minor damage. Was it being competitive, or dirty? He didn't seem to care either way. I haven't cared much for him since.
