News and Notes: Friday Edition

Above, a 1986 game program from a Cornell visit to Notre Dame. Below, some news and notes for Friday...
  • Pete McMillan notes via Twitter that there was a certain guest appearance from the great north at a pick-up game.
  • Jeff Goodman of FoxSports writes that Boston College is expecting a recruiting visit from Centenary's leading scorer, Damon Starring. B.C. head coach, Steve Donahue was successful luring Anthony Gatlin from Centenary to Cornell a year ago.
  • Cornell's recruiting class for next season should likely be complete now that Stephen Albrecht, the Toledo transfer, has opted to pull his commitment from Cornell.

Didn't Brown steal some other commit from some other Ivy earlier this semester? What are they up to? Brown is being all stealthy, you guys, I'm warning you. They're plotting stuff. Like, you know, winning. (Shocking, I know.)

McMillan has protected tweets, so you shouldn't be cryptic if you're going to reference them because we see nothing by clicking on the link.

Brown lured away Hakeem Harris, a shooting guard rated rather highly from ESPN (85?). I think Harris had been previously committed to Columbia.

Hopefully we will quickly forget about this Albright fellow as we forgot about that 7-footer we lost to Columbia that one time. People get commits we go after all the time. May it continue to change nothing.

McMillan's Twitter is protected - who was the guest in the pick-up game?
