Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

Collin Woods (Horizon HS) Scottsdale, AZ, 6-1, G, already holds scholarship offers to Arizona State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Weber State, and San Diego according to Rivals.com. The guard is also expecting contact from Cornell and Santa Clara this week according to AZCentral.com.

According to several sources, Josh Elbaum (Northfield Mount Hermon School) Northfield, MA, 6-4, G, committed to Vermont. Elbaum indicated in the last several weeks that he was considering an offer from Dartmouth.

NEHoopsNews.com reports that Majok Majok (Northfield Mount Hermon School) Northfield, MA, 6-8, F, has committed to Fairfield. He received offers from Harvard, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Boston College, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Alabama among others during the course of the season.

Wow, Majok commits to Fairfield over those BCS programs?

Yeah, that sounds weird. I always figured Majok would spurn Harvard for a BCS program, but not for Fairfield.

I suspect Majok's SAT scores weren't good enough for the Ivy League.
