News and Notes: Thursday Edition

Below, some news and notes for Thursday:
  • Israeli news source, One, follows suit with recent reports that Jeff Foote could be lent out by Israeli club, Maccabi Tel Aviv to Greek club, Aris. Foote has a three-year deal with Maccabi but these reports indicate that the Israeli club wants him to develop him next season in the Greek league.
  • Binghamton formally announced its schedule, including a December 18 home game for the Bearcats against Cornell. The BU press release notes, "the Bearcats host a Cornell team that went 29-5, advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 and earned a final ranking of No. 17 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll last year. The Big Red is BU's closest Division I opponent (49 miles away), though the teams have played just five times in Binghamton's 64-year basketball history. The Bearcats beat Cornell in 2006 and lost in 2007." Cornell's 28-game schedule includes the following opponents:
