News and Notes: Afternoon Edition

Below, some afternoon news and notes...
  • The Providence Journal got a hold of Brown's schedule, the Bears will face just one BCS conference opponent all season. This veteran Bear team should've tested themselves a bit more. Brown has not posted its 2010-2011 roster. Meanwhile, Cornell has released official announcements of its 2010-2011 schedule, roster and recruiting class. Around the rest of the Ivy League in scheduling: Dartmouth, Princeton, and Yale, have now released their schedules. In roster news, Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, and Yale, have posted their 2010-2011 rosters. Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn and Yale have also formally announced their incoming recruiting classes.
  • On the topic of scheduling, writes, "the Siena and UAlbany men's basketball teams released their non-conference schedules this week. And both schools have lined up some quality, big name competition. Both schedules are after the jump. A few of the at home highlights: UAlbany November 12 vs. Cornell (Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament last season)."
  • Below, another look back at a few Cornell featured segments on ESPN during last March.
The Big Red trailed Kentucky in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen by just six points with less than five minutes remaining before the Wildcats, led by their five NBA 2010 First Round Draft Selections, pulled away for the victory.
