Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

Mike Yahnke (Delano HS) Delano, MN, 6-6, F, has an offer from Texas Pan Am and is receiving interest from the likes of Bucknell, Columbia, Hartford, Cal Poly and Northern Colorado per Rivals.com.

The Arizona Republic reports that Collin Woods (Horizon HS) Phoenix, AZ, 6-1, G is looking primarily at the Ivy League for his future college for basketball. In addition to offers from Cornell and Columbia, the Republic and Rivals.com report that Woods also holds offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State, UTEP, Weber State, Fresno State, San Diego, Northern Colorado, UC Irvine, Portland, CSU Northridge.

Luke Roh (Chapparal HS) Scottsdale, AZ, 6-3, G told ArizonaVarsity.com that he has seen interest from Ivy League schools, including Yale, Penn, Dartmouth, and Princeton. He has no offers.

NBE Basketball reports that Malcolm Gilbert (Academy of New Church) Bryn Athyn, PA, 6-11, C wants to take a few more unofficial visits (telling NBE’s Matt Whitfield via text on Saturday that Notre Dame, Cornell, Penn and Virginia are schools he hopes to unofficially visit) before he trims his list to five but hopes to decide where he’ll be headed by the middle of the school year if not sooner. Gilbert said that Pittsburgh, Ohio State and Duke are among the others involved in his recruitment.

Malcolm Brogdon (Greater Atlanta Christian Academy) Atlanta, GA, 6-5, F lists offers fn Scout.com from Virginia, Harvard, Butler, Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Georgia, Clemson, Arkansas, Providence, and Notre Dame.

Kenyatta Smith (Flintridge Prep) La Canada, CA, 6-6, C, told a Scout.com affiliate, "Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Vanderbilt and Northwestern have offered, Cal has been coming pretty hard and I've had more contact lately with UCLA and Stanford."

Kenny Johnson (Abington Friends) Abington, PA, 6-3, G lists with Scout.com the following college suitors: Yale, Penn, Elon, Colgate, Harvard, Lafayette, Bucknell, and Bryant.
