Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivies...

The Kalamazoo Gazette and several recruiting websites report that Hayden Hoerdemann (Central Catholic HS) Bloomington, IN, 6-2, G, committed to Western Michigan over several offers, including from Princeton, Harvard, Illinois State, Eastern Illinois, and Wright State.

Shelby Moats (Waconia HS) Waconia, MN, 6-8, F has narrowed his college list per the Indianapolis Star and Butler is said to be his leader. He has already unofficially visited Harvard and Yale and is planning visits to Iowa, Nebraska and Creighton.

Andre Hollins (White Station HS) Memphis, TN, 6-1, G, has set his campus visit as follows: Sept. 3 in Auburn then heads to Harvard Sept. 16. Minnesota is his final visit in September and its on the 25th. Ole Miss hosts him the first weekend in October and Stanford two weeks later.

Another point guard, Shane Larkin (Dr. Phillips HS) Orlando, FL, 6-1, G, told, "I have offers from Iowa, DePaul, Northeastern, George Mason, Alabama, South Florida, Florida State, Central Florida, Colorado, and Rice. I'm also getting interest from Boston College, Wake Forest, Georgia, USC, Temple, Harvard, Nebraska, Clemson, UCLA, Kansas State, Miami, and Florida."

Jonah Tavis (DeLaSalle HS) Minneapolis, MN 6-6, F told that Harvard, Boise State, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Lafayette, Loyola-Chicago, Miami (OH), Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Northeastern, Northern Illinois, Northern Colorado, Toledo, Tulane, and Wofford have all offered scholarships. He said, "At this point I'm just looking to see what is on the table and then take steps forward from there. Right now the most interest has been shown, in no particular order, from Harvard, Cornell, Tulane, Santa Clara, Northwestern and Tulane. This is not a final list, these are just the schools that have showed the most interest right now."
