Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

Trey Lewis (Garfield Heights HS) Garfield Heights, OH, 6-0, G committed to Penn State per His choice came down to PSU, Wisconsin, Iowa, Bucknell, George Mason, Cincinnati, Harvard and Cornell.

Max Landis (Perry Meridian HS) Indianapolis, IN, 6-2, G, lists offers with from Tenn-Martin and Gardner Webb. He also has interest from Dartmouth, Army, IUPUI, IUFW, and Evansville among others.

Connor Miller (Regis HS) Eau Claire, WI, 6-2, G, has an offer from Army and interest from Columbia and Samford.

Seth Hinrichs (Maccray HS) Clara City, MN, 6-6, F, has offers from Lafayette and Eastern Kentucky while Brown, Lehigh and NJIT are among others involved.

Per, Sean Grennan (Monsignor Donovan HS) Toms River, NJ, 6-2, G, committed to Davison. He had some Ivy League interest. reports with respect to Ben Freeland (Santa Rosa HS) Montgomery, CA, 6-10, C , "Air Force, Chico State, Denver, Pacific, Princeton, St. Mary's, UC Davis, UC San Diego, and Yale have contacted him while Azusa Pacific and Columbia have given him an offer... [he] has not made any visits and has Columbia, St. Mary's, and UC Davis as his favorites based on a combination of their academic and basketball reputation."

Keith Belfield (Cannon School) Charlotte, NC, 6-6, F told, "Right now I have offers from Furman, Presbyterian, Tulane, Hofstra, Drexel, Holy Cross, Colgate, UNC Wilmington," says Belfield. In addition, the shooting guard says that the Ivy League schools, Princeton and Penn want him to go there. He also holds offers from Liberty and Richmond per

Shelby Moats (Waconia HS) Waconia, MN, 6-8, F, can now claim offers from Minnesota, Butler, Rutgers, Utah, Princeton, Yale, Harvard, and Washington State. He has already unofficially visited the Ivies on his list per

Northstar Basketball lists a pair of prospects considering Princeton. Justin Harris (Paramus Catholic) Paramus, NJ, 6-6, F lists Xavier, Ohio State, Quinnipiac, and Princeton but has no college offers.

Steve Moundou-Missi (Montverde Academy) Montverde, FL, 6-5, F, lists Princeton, Harvard, Vanderbilt, Stanford, Virginia Tech, Colgate, and Navy. His only offer is Harvard.

After indicating last week an intent to visit Cornell, elite post player, Malcom Gilbert (Academy of New Church) Bryn Athyn, PA, 6-11, C has widdled his college choices down to Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Wake Forest, Virginia and Clemson.

Malcolm Gilbert has "widdled"? Is that recruiting jargon, or just some old Anglo-Saxon word?
