Jamming Barton Hall Full in '65

As the following article excerpt from a January 1965 issue of the Cornell Daily Sun discusses, Cornell safety officials knew the Big Red's January 18, 1965 game against Princeton and All-American Bill Bradley would draw more than 8,00o spectators. Ultimately, Barton Hall was packed to nearly 9,000 for the game. Above is a photo from the game appearing in the Ithaca Journal.

I love these old Barton pictures. The place just looks like a legitimate basketball venue whereas Newman does not. Too bad they won't just renovate Barton because that place has character.
