News and Notes: Tuesday Edition

Below, some news and notes for Tuesday. Above, a 1923 game program between Cornell and Penn State.
  • CollegeHoopsNet.com's ranking of the top 144 teams thus far includes Cornell opponents- Princeton (135), Bucknell (121), Boston University (115), Harvard (114), and Stony Brook (111). In ranking Harvard and Princeton, CollegeHoopsNet writes, " It helps that Cornell’s three year run should be coming to an end, so it is down to Harvard and Princeton to battle for the Ivy title."
  • HoopsReport.com ranks Wisconsin No. 39 in the nation and writes, "Last season, Wisconsin had one of the most talented teams in the Big Ten with Trevon Hughes, Jason Bohannon, Jon Leuer, Jordan Taylor and Keaton Nankivil. The Badgers won 24 games overall and went 13-5 in a tough Big Ten conference. But Bo Ryan's troops came up short by losing to Cornell in the second round of the NCAA tournament, and it wasn't even close. It was a sour way for Bohannon and Hughes to end great careers at Wisconsin, but now the Badgers must move on without them."
  • Louis Dale and his Gottingen (Germany) pro club practice team-building skills.

  • Jeff Foote and his Maccabi Tel Aviv teammates are in training for their tour of Poland and Russia. Below, a Hebrew-only video of his teammates.
