Brown secured a commitment from Christian Gore (Franklin High School ) El Paso, TX, 6-3. The news was reported by "I made the decision late [Monday] night," Gore said. "I was scheduled to visit Columbia in a couple of weeks, but I had been talking with my dad and mom all day yesterday and just decided at the very end that Brown was where I wanted to go. I really liked it." Texas Hoops properly noted that because the Ivy League schools are not allowed to give athletic scholarships, Gore will not sign a national letter of intent. Gore, however, will sign a formal letter of admission -- known around the Ivy League as a "likely letter" -- which essentially serves as a commitment letter. Financial aid is available for athletes in need. Gore had reported offers to UNC Greensboro and Columbia with interest from Penn, Lafayette and American.

Shelby Moats (Waconia MN) Waconia HS, 6-8, F, has eliminated Harvard and Yale from consideration. He is now considering just three schools, Northwestern, Vanderbilt and Washington State.

T.J. Taylor (Oakland HS) Oakland, CA, 5-9, G, committed to UCSB over an offer from Harvard.

Spencer Dinwiddie (Taft HS) Los Angeles, CA 6-2 told that Harvard is his current leader following his visit to campus last weekend. "I would say Harvard because I just came off the visit, but I have to stay unbiased," Dinwiddie said. "That is the only visit I have ever taken so I am sure it will even out as I start to take the other visits." Dinwiddie plans to visit Oregon on Oct. 1 and Colorado on Oct. 15. He is also keeping in contact with coaches from UNLV and Georgetown. A point guard, Dinwiddie visited Harvard with another point guard, Andre Hollins (White Station HS) Memphis, TN, 6-3.

Princeton, Bradley, Creighton, UNCW, Oral Roberts, Tulane, UTEP, Tulsa, VCU and Wright St. are among those schools that have made offers to Daniel Green (Grapevine HS) Grapevine, TX, 6-8, F. now lists Byron Wesley (Eitwanda HS) Eitwanda, CA, 6-4, G, as having interest from Penn and Yale and an offer from USC. Other schools involved include Penn State, Wake Forest, UCLA and Washington.

Hollins is a shooting guard. Nobody lists him as a point guard, because he isn't a point guard.

Why don't you post the youtube video here or just erase mrjames's comment instead of leaving it there all indignant and patronizing?

It's hard to find information about him, but welcome, Devin Cherry.

It is hard to find information about him, but he is not an "under the radar" recruit. A lot of schools were recruiting him. Just the national media wasn't on him.

Trust coaches, not the recruiting services and the journalists.
