Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

Several sources reported commitments of Ivy League recruiting prospects to schools outside of the league.

T.J. Burke (Marcos De Niza HS) Tempe, AZ 6-8, F, committed to Cal-Riverside. He had offers to Columbia and Yale per several sources, as well as from Northern Arizona, Lehigh, Northern Colorado, Pacific, UC Irvine, and Houston Baptist.

Joe Coleman (Hopkins HS) Minneapolis, MN, 6-3, G has committed to Minnesota. He held an offer from Harvard, Columbia and Yale.

Julian DeBose (St. John's HS) Washington, D.C., 6-5, F, committed to Rice over interest from Penn, Siena, VCU and Mt. St. Mary's.

Bret Kingma (Jackson HS) Mill Creek, WA, 6-3, G, committed to Oregon. He had interest from Harvard.

Shelby Moats (Waconia HS) Waconia, MN, 6-8, F, committed to Vanderbilt over offers from Yale and Harvard.

Seth Hinrichs (Maccray HS) Clara City, MN, 6-6, F committed to Lafayette over interest from Brown.

Max Hooper (Brewster Academy) Brewster, MA, 6-6, F, is scheduled to visit Harvard the weekend of Oct 22nd. A postgraduate player from California, Hooper visited Oakland University last weekend officially after visiting the campus unofficially earlier in the month. He is scheduled to visit Lehigh officially on October 15. Lehigh offered a scholarship earlier in the month after his unofficial visit. Hooper also visited unofficially Dartmouth and Princeton. In addition to Lehigh, Hooper told the Recruit Scoop that he holds offers to UC Irvine, The Citadel, Delaware and Holy Cross. Although he visited Cornell unofficially, there was no reported offer made.

Armani Cotton (Northfield Mount Hermon) Northfield, MA, 6-2, G, will visit Yale on October 1 and Princeton on October 9.

John Golden (Northfield Mount Hermon) Northfield, MA, 6-6, F, will visit Yale on October 9.

Parker Uu (Jesuit HS) Carmichael, CA, 6-4, F, a member of the class of 2012, has interest from Penn, Princeton, Columbia and host of mid major schools on the west coast.

Matt Christiansen (Bishop McGuinnes HS) Oklahoma City, OK, 6-8, F, is hearing from Notre Dame, Davidson, Princeton, Holy Cross and Harvard, among others. He is a a member of the class of 2012.
