Syracuse, the Infrequent Visitor

Cornell's first meeting against Syracuse dates back to the 1900-1901 season. Since then the teams have met in more than 100 games, with the Orange taking 86 wins against Cornell's 31 wins in the series. The last Syracuse team to visit Cornell and play in Ithaca was on December 1, 1981, a dominating 90-47 win by the Orange. Above, assorted programs from Syracuse's visits to Ithaca.

Current Syracuse head coach, Jim Boheim, hired by the Orange at the start of the 1976-1977 season, also took his Orange to Ithaca on January 3, 1977 and January 3, 1979 during his tenure

Above, a photo from the December 7, 1973 issue of the Cornell Daily Sun. The photo was taken from Syracuse's December 5 visit to Cornell's Barton Hall.
