More on Cornell-Syracuse Series History

Following up on Wednesday's post on the topic of the Cornell-Syracuse series, below we post a pair of archived Cornell Daily Sun articles from two of the more memorable games in the rivalry. Above, a page from a 1959 Cornell-Syracuse game program. Cornell visits Syracuse on November 30, 2010.

A March 11, 1948 article from the Cornell Daily Sun recaps Syracuse's 45-30 win over Cornell on March 8 at Barton Hall. The 8,500 spectators set a new Barton Hall attendance record, which would be later broken by the 9,000 in attendance at the Cornell-Princeton game on January 18, 1965.

Above, the December 10, 1964 issue of the Cornell Daily Sun recaps Cornell's thrilling 73-72 win over Syracuse on December 9. Syracuse All-American (and future NBA Hall of Famer), Dave Bing missed a shot to win the game with 2 seconds remaining.
