Recruiting News: Ivy Commitments Rolling In...

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

A source reports to The Cornell Basketball Blog that Yale picked up a commitment from Will Childs-Klein (Ladue Horton Watkins HS) Laude, MO, 6-11, C. He had offers from Princeton, Bucknell, and Evansville. He is Yale's third commitment and the second from the St. Louis metro area.

Joe Brimanti (Andover HS) Andover, MA, 6-1, G, committed to Dartmouth per a source. He is Paul Cormier's first commitment.

The Wilmington Star (N.C.) reports that Dylan Sherwood (Hun School) Princeton, NJ, 6-9, F, committed to UNCW over interest from Princeton and Cornell. He will join Cedrick Williams (Siegel HS) Murfreesboro, TN, 6-9, F, who also committed to UNCW over Harvard, Belmont, Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, and Tennessee St. The Seahawks also landed Luke Hager (Whitney Young HS) Chicago, IL, 6-8, F, who committed to UNCW over varying levels of interest from Central Michigan, Penn and Northern Illinos.

Mark Tollefsen (San Ramon Valley HS) Danville, CA, 6-8, F, committed to San Franciso over Columbia, St. Mary's Denver, Air Force, Pacific, San Jose St., Santa Clara, UC Davis, UC Irvine, and UC Santa Barbara.

Jacoby Harrison (North Shore HS) Galena Park, TX 6-7, committed to John Gallagher's Hartford program. He was pursued by Penn, Lamar, and Liberty.

Luke Roh (Chapparal HS) Scottsdale, AZ, 6-3, G, does not have any offers but is trying to draw the attention of the Ivies, including Yale, Penn, Dartmouth, and Princeton.

One of the best big men still on the board is John Cannon (Mountain Heritage HS) Burnsville, NC 6-11. He has offers from several Ivies, including Princeton and Harvard, as well as offers from Appalachian St., Western Carolina, UNC-Ashville, and Richmond. He may wait unti the spring to sign as he is entertaining recent interest from ACC schools.
