Cornell dealing with injuries in backcourt

Caught the final half hour of Cornell's practice this evening; the Big Red is playing through a few injuries to its guard corps.

Chris Wroblewski is sitting out after spraining an ankle in the Cornell-Colgate scrimmage on Saturday. He said he expects to be back in time for Cornell's season opener at Albany on Nov. 12.

Dominic Scelfo remains out with a knee injury, the severity of which is still being determined. His return is unknown, but Bill Courtney's words a couple weeks back seemed to indicate Scelfo would be out for a good amount of time - possibly the season.

Jake Matthews didn't practice today; he's also coming back from a minor ankle/lower leg injury suffered in practice.

With those guys missing, sophomore Johnathan Gray and freshmen Jamal Cherry got a lot of reps on the scout team, with Miles Asafo-Adjei getting plenty of time with the reds. On the positive side of the injury list, senior center Aaron Osgood is back practicing full-time after missing a little more than a week with a hip flexor injury. Back on Oct. 15 I tweeted that Eitan Chemerinski really looks to be filling out, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Osgood. He's clearly added weight and strength to his upper body.

can cbb put together a projected depth chart?

With the injuries, it is hard to tell who would be playing and (and how much).

We may want to wait until next week to make those kinds of projections.

Well at least Osgood is back to full health, Miles may have to step up like Wrobo did when Lou was hurt Wrobo's freshman year

How serious is wrobo's ankle injury? The Albany game seems a little quick to be coming back?

What happened to N. Okoye? Was he cut? Did he not attempt to walk-on?

Nmadi was not cut and could not be cut because like Jamal Cherry, he is not on the team. They are practice players who workout with the team.
