Between December 26-28, 1968, Cornell participated in the East Carolina Tournament. The Big Red fell in the first two games of the Tournament, losing 74-67 to host ECU on 12/26 and then losing 85-70 the following night to Air Force. The Big Red would meet Delaware on the tournament's final day with Cornell prevailing, 93-77. It is the only time in Cornell's 100-plus year basketball history that the Blue Hens and Big Red have met on the hardwood. Game 2 is tonight at Newman Arena. Above, the February 3, 1969 issue of the Cornell Daily Sun briefly recaps the Big Red's 1968-1969 winter break games, including Cornell's win over Delaware.
