  • The Big Red face Lafayette today in a closed-door scrimmage. This is the final tune-up for Cornell's season opening weekend, November 12 at Albany, followed by November 14 at Seton Hall.

Top Player: PF Rodney Hood (6-8, Sr..)
Outlook: With Hood leading the way, the Wildcats are the Mississippi team to beat. The highly touted recruit tossed in 23.5 points per game as a junior. Other senior veterans on hand include Cornell recruit Devin Cherry (6-3, Sr.) and Sidney Coleman (6-7, Sr.).
  • Rush The Court is counting down via Twitter the top 345 Division I teams. Cornell is ranked No. 155, one spot ahead of LSU at No. 156 and ahead of teams such as Davidson (159), Rutgers (160), Iowa (166), San Jose St. (169), Central Florida (171), SMU (172), Fresno State (173), Louisiana Tech (176), St. Joseph's (178), Boise St. (190), TCU (199), Rice (232), Hawaii (247), Wyoming (252), Air Force (264), Tulane (265), and Fordham (307). According to Rush The Court, Cornell has two Ivy opponents among the best 27% of Division I teams and four Ivy opponents among the worst 25% of Division I teams.

Only Penn is not one of the very best or worst programs. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
