Penn received a verbal commitment this week from Will Davis (New Hampton Prep School) Hampton, NH, 6-9, F. Davis' commitment was reported by several sources. His other finalists were Delaware and Drexel.
Will Carr (John Wood Community College) Quincy, IL, 6-11, C, committed to the University of Alabama-Huntsville this week. The 265 pound Carr initially committed to Cornell during June 2010, as reported by Rivals.com and other public sources. He was initially expected to enroll at Cornell for the 2010-2011 season. However, Carr was committed to only studying engineering and was not an admissions candidate for Cornell's highly selective School of Engineering. Courted by other Division I programs such as Evansville, Tulane, and Western Illinois this fall, Carr ultimately settled on on engineering school near a NASA space center. Cornell continues to recruit other post players, including potential transfers like Carr.
Spencer Dinwiddie (Taft HS) Los Angeles, CA, 6-3, G, committed to Colorado last week per numerous sources. He visited Harvard before committing.
Jayme Moten (Spicer HS) Spicer, MN, 6-1, G-committed to Texas Pan American over Columbia.
Mike Yahnke (Delano HS) Delano, MN, 6-8, F, committed to Texas-Pan American per GopherIllustrated.com. He had interest from several Ivies including Columbia.
Jack Ryan (Glenbrook South HS) Glenbrook, IL visited Dartmouth last Thursday per several sources. He also has interest from Tulane, Stanford, Colgate, and Lafayette.
Austin Angel (New Trier HS) Winneteka, IL, 6-4, F, has interest from several Ivies and Davidson. He is a member of the class of 2012. His teammate Connor Boehm (New Trier HS) Winneteka, IL, 6-6, F, also has Ivy interest.
