Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting news from around the Ivy League...

Noah Springwater (University HS) San Francisco, CA, 6-3, G, committed to Columbia per Rivals.com. He did not have any other reported offers.

Colin Gruber (Harbor HS) Santa Cruz, CA, 6-3, G, committed to Northern Arizona over interest from Columbia, Santa Clara, San Diego, Cal Poly, Utah State, Pacific, and UCSB.

Max Biefeldt (Notre Dame HS) Peoria, IL, 6-8, F has offers from Western Michigan and Wright State, but is also considering interest from Dartmouth per Rivals.com.

T. J. Curry (Christ the King HS) New York, NY, 6-1, G, has interest from Columbia, Delaware, Manhattan and St. Peter's with Delaware already making an offer.

Brendon Pineda (Tolleson HS) Tolleson, AZ, 6-3, G, has an offer from New Mexico State, but the two-sport athlete (track) is seeking to compete in both basketball and track. He is also considering Brown per Rivals.com.

Nick Victor (Lovejoy HS) Lucas, TX, 6-4, G, has interest from Princeton, Rice, Sam Houston State, and Portland State per TexasHoops.com.

Brandon White (Archbishop Mitty HS) San Jose, CA, 6-2, G is hearing from Brown, Harvard, and Princeton, as well as a host of western schools such as Cal Poly, San Jose State and UC Davis.

Kenny Johnson (Abington Friends School) Abington, PA, 6-3 G lists interest from Penn, Harvard, Elon, Columbia, Colgate, Brown, Yale, Lafayette, Bryant, and Bucknell.

Ryan McCoy (Montgomery HS) Montgomery NJ, 6-6, F, committed to Manhattan over Dartmouth per CentralJersey.com.

John Kopriva (Marquette HS) Milwaukee, WI, 6-7, F, committed to Vermont per numerous sources after holding offers from Bucknell, Holy Cross, Cal Poly, Monmouth, New Hampshire, Wagner, Brown, Darmouth and Princeton.

Sai Tummala (Brophy Prep) Scottsdale, AZ, 6-6, F, canceled visits to Yale, Penn and Northern Colorado after those schools received verbal commitments from other forwards. He is still receiving some interest from such programs as Pacific, Santa Clara, Columbia, UC-Santa Barbara and Cal Poly SLO, but has no offers. He did receive a walk-on offer to Michigan.

Princeton had several class of 2012 recruits attend their home opener vs. Rutgers. These recruits included Justin Sears (Plainfield HS) Plainfield, NJ, 6-7, F, Matt Rennie (Gil St. Bernards School) Martinsville, NJ, 5-10, G, Alex Mitola (Gil St. Bernards School), 5-10, G, and Bill Dooley (Chesnut Hill HS) Chestnut Hill, PA, 6-4, G. Sears is also hearing from Stanford, Boston College, Yale, Harvard, Siena and Holy Cross.

Devon Walker (Winter Haven HS) Winter Haven, FL, 6-4, G, is hearing from Cornell, Stanford, Davidson, Boston College, Clemson, Liberty, Florida Atlantic, and Louisiana Tech. He is a member of the class of 2012.

Matt Christiansen (Bishop McGuinness HS) Oklahoma City, OK, 6-8, F, lists interest from Harvard, Princeton, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan and Virginia among others. He is a member of the class of 2012.

Parker UU (Jesuit HS) Carmichael, CA, 6-5 F lists interest from Penn, Princeton, St. Mary’s, and UC Santa Barbara. He is a member of the class of 2012.

Lucas Woodhouse (Harborfields HS) Greenlawn, NY, 6-1, G, has interest from Columbia, Stony Brook and Navy. He is a member of the class of 2012.
