Slope TV is so good, especially when you compare it to The Sun.

That was a quality interview.

does this post have anything to do with the sun? no. so why do you always bring it up? do you seriously have nothing better to do than compare the two?

no, especially because the poster is from slope and is trying to push his product. it will be done after he graduates in a year

Yeah honestly there needs to be a moratorium on Sun comments. As mentioned, it serves little purpose here. (And trust me emails will go unresponded to, and staff will become defensive if approached.)

Also, I don't even know what Sun stuff u compare Slope videos to; I just think Slope is gr8 compared to vids like the Penn and H papers produce, or SideLines.

Finally, why not just enjoy the things the Sun does do well, i.e. photos, 10 questions, and that awesome Fight Club inspired NCAA poster with Ski & Witt? Like one of their editors said in a Sun documentary, people expect them to be New York Times when they really are more like People magazine. If internal aspirations aren't high, external complaints are gonna be pretty futile.

I never heard the People versus New York Times comparison.

I guess that makes sense. Personally, I expect them to be more professional and like a NY Times, but I guess that it's my expectations which are off base since they seem to want to be more about fluff like People. This is of course, if that other posters reference is accurate.

I think the reason why people compare the Sun to slope is that slope has that aura of professionalism to it, which someone like me expects out of the Sun but doesn't get it. See the poor article on Lebron James and the Heat in today's paper.

as someone who knows a lot of people on the sun, i can tell you that your emails will be responded to. they often lament about how people choose to rip them anonymously on a basketball blog instead of just sending an email to the sports editor

Sam and Jake continue to get better at what they do. Nice work.

the sun just sucks in general (not completely directed at Sun sports). The quality of the writing is embarrassing. There are so many fluff pieces and gossipy crap. It is reminiscent of my high school newspaper.

It's a goddamn NEWSpaper. Report the NEWS.
