Big Red Hope to Reload in December with Osgood Return

After the first three games of the season at Albany and Seton Hall and home versus Delaware, Cornell's Aaron Osgood was averaging 14.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 26 minutes per game while shooting 58% from the floor. Osgood missed Cornell's last three games at Boston University, Syracuse and Minnesota with an MCL injury. He is expected to return for the Big Red's late December games. Osgood's return could be a big boost for Cornell's final nonconference stretch.

Listen. If we're thinkin' about rushin' Aro back with an 80% healed MCL, when an extra week or two would get him to 95+%, I think we ought to rest him for a couple more of those non-con games.

With his injury history, and his potential key contribution to this team, we cannot be too careful. That 14 game tournament is a real grind... and it's all that really counts.

We were lucky in dodging a bullet with Osgood. His injury was only a mild ankle sprain and he should come back strong. In the games he missed, you can really see how important his play has been for the team.
