Cornell-Bucknell Basketball History

Above, the cover of the March 3, 1952 issue of the Cornell Daily Sun recaps Cornell's 87-67 win over Bucknell on March 1 in Barton Hall. That night, Cornell set a new Barton Hall scoring record. Photographed on the cover is Cornell's John Werner ('52), a 1st Team All Ivy League/EIBL selection during the '51-'52 season. In the series, Cornell leads 23-22 after the Big Red won last year’s contest in double overtime, 104-98 in Lewisberg. The teams meet again in Ithaca on December 20.

Anyone notice that Ohio State hosted Western Carolina in St. John's Arena, where Lucas, Havlicek, Nowell, Knight, DeVoe, Hosket, and Siegfried once roamed?

I see yet another mention of Barton Hall. I know it's not gonna happen, but we really could go back to Barton for a throwback night to the place where DeLuca, Cram, Rolles, Bantum, and Bajusz did the same for us.
