Recruited by Brown and Columbia as a transfer target and highly recruited by Penn out of high school, former Gonzaga University wing forward, 6'6" Keegan Highland has committed to the University of Vermont as a transfer. He is eligible January 2012.
The New Hampton School has announced via Twitter that Will Davis (New Hampton School) New Hampton, NH, 6-7, F, has decommitted from Penn. He is reportedly looking at schools primarily in the CAA such as Drexel and Delaware. Davis is the second player in the last 12 months to pull a commitment from Penn with Kevin Panzer, currently enrolled at Nevada, pulling out of his commitment last year. Unlike Panzer, however, The Cornell Basketball Blog was informed by a source that the decision to decommit by Davis was in no way related to basketball.
Columbia received a verbal commitment from Jamal Sims (Roosevelt HS) Greenbelt, MD, 6-0, G. Sims, who attended Cornell's Elite Prospect Camp last summer, tore his right meniscus and partially tore his right ACL in his senior season’s first game on December 6 according to the College Park Patch.
