Recruiting News: Penn and Princeton Add Commitments

In recruiting news, Penn picked up its 3rd commitment (and 2nd late commitment) for the class of 2011 by way of Camryn Crocker (Los Alamitos HS) Los Alamitos, CA, 6-3, G. Crocker reportedly selected Penn over Cal Irvine and Denver. Penn took Crocker after the Quakers were beaten out by Cornell and other schools for top Ivy League caliber guard prospects such as Devin Cherry (Meridian HS) Meridian, MS, 6-3, G. Cornell showed some interest in Crocker last spring, but never offered, taking Cherry and Galal Cancer (Christian Bros. HS) Albany, NY, 6-3, G, during the early recruiting period. Nevertheless, Crocker is a quality pick up for the month of February.

Princeton also added some much needed size by receiving a commitment from Brian Fabrizius (Kimball Union Academy) Meridian, NH, 6-10, C. Originally from Illinois, Fabrizius, a postgraduate student, is a traditional Princeton-styled post player who likes to face the basket and shoot from the perimeter. Cornell and Holy Cross were among the schools evaluating him when he was in high school before his missed the vast portion of his senior year with an injury.
