Recruiting News

Below, some recruiting updates from around the Ivy League for the class of 2011 as well as for 2012.

Class of 2011

We reported earlier this week via Twitter, per a pair of sources close to the situation that Dartmouth secured a commitment from Will McConnell (Sacred Heart Prep) Atherton, CA, 6-6, F.

Class of 2012

Landen Lucas (Findlay College Prep) Las Vegas, NV, 6-8, F, recently visited Harvard and holds offers from Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, Portland State, USC, Utah State, Vanderbilt, Washington, and Washington State.

ChicagoHoops reports that Tanner Williams (Orion HS) Peoria, IL, 6-6, F, is already generating a good deal of recruiting interest. “Penn State, Iowa, Bradley, San Francisco, NDSU, Illinois State, SIU-E, Northern Iowa, Indiana State, Idaho State, Stanford, Cornell, and Princeton are all expressing interest in some regard. It’s been going pretty good though, I've been in contact on the phone with a few of the schools. I haven't got an offer yet, but hopefully this summer I’ll be getting them,” said Williams. reports that Zena Edosomwan (Harvard Westlake HS) 6-8, F, is considering offers from Harvard, USC and Colorado. UCLA and Arizona State are still evaluating him. “I went to USC and talked with Coach O’Neil,” said Edosomwan. “I’m hoping to go to Harvard soon for a visit and possibly to Arizona State this spring.”

Austin McMaster(Chesapeake HS) Cheseapeak, OH 6-4, G, is hearing from Princeton, William & Mary, Oakland, Miami-OH and Eastern Kentucky.

Robert Upshaw (Edison HS) Fresno, CA, 6-10, C, lists offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Fresno State, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA, USC, and Utah. Harvard has also expressed interest.

Jon Ross Glover (University School) Jackson, TN, 6-4, G, has offers from Lehigh and Lipscomb, but is considering interest from Princeton, Davidson and Belmont.
