Recruiting News: Ivies in Camp Season

In this post, some recruiting updates from around the Ivy League.

Below is a listing of the dates of the Ivy League basketball camps which typically compete with one another for position in inviting the top Ivy League prospects.
  • Yale June 3-5
  • Princeton June 12-14
  • Penn June 17-19
  • Columbia (Session 1 - June 17-19, Session 2 - June 19-21)
  • Brown June 23-25
  • Cornell June 25-26
  • Harvard June 25-27
  • Dartmouth June 27-30
Reportedly Cornell's Elite Prospect Camp has a stellar expected attendee list with its number of confirmed participants increasing by more than two dozen from a year ago. More than three dozen participants a year ago landed on Division I rosters.

Nolan Cressler
(Plum HS) Plum, PA, 6-4, G, attended the Yale camp last week and reportedly received his first Division I offer from the Yale staff. Per the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Cressler is expected to be in attendance at Cornell's camp between June 25-26.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports that Carson Puriefoy (Bishop Eustace HS) Pennsauken, NJ, 6-0, G, is hearing from Lafayette, Vermont, Virginia Tech, Oregon State, Alabama-Birmingham, Davidson, Penn, Princeton, Harvard, Yale, and Dartmouth.

The Fairfax Stars AAU program reports that Jack Earley (Yorktown HS) Arlington, VA, 6-4, G, will be at Princeton's Elite Camp while Gordon Rogo (McLean HS) McLean, VA, 6-2, G, will be at the Penn and Columbia camps next week.

Phillip Lawrence (Mt. St. Joseph's HS) Baltimore, MD, 6-7, F is hearing from Marist, Penn, Yale, George Mason, Lafayette, Elon and St. Francis (PA) per Recruit Scoop.

Recruit scoop also reports that Michael Avery (Crespi HS) Encino, CA, 6-4, G, a former Kentucky commitment as an 8th grader, will attend Penn's elite camp. Avery was offered a scholarship to Kentucky by former Wildcat coach, Billy Gillespie, but the well-publicized offer was pulled following Gillsepie's firing. Avery is currently hearing mostly from low and mid majors.

Logan Kelly (Governor Livingston HS) Livingston, NJ, 6-1, G, is hearing from Penn, Colgate, Miami-OH and Stony Brook.

Alex Caruso (A&M Consolidated HS) College Station, TX 6-5, G, has interest from Oregon, Arizona, California, Harvard and Lehigh.

Jordan Chatman (Skyview HS) Seattle, WA, 6-4, G, is hearing from Penn, BYU, and Utah.
