News and Notes: Wednesday Edition

Below, some news and notes for Wednesday...
  • Harvard Crimson basketball beat writer, Martin Kessler spoke with former Cornell head coach Steve Donahue, currently the head coach at Boston College. Donahue disclosed that Harvard will face Boston College during the 2011-2012 season. Donahue also told Kessler, "I think [the Ivy League is] the best coached league in the country."
  • The Salt Lake Tribune mentions Austin Waddoups (American Fork HS) American Fork, UT, 6-4, G, a high school senior in the class of 2012 who is reportedly being recruited by Cornell.
  • Several sources are reporting that Jeff Foote ('10) unofficially recorded nearly two dozen rebounds last night in Nike Pro City League action at Baruch College in New York. Foote and Louis Dale ('10) are teammates on the New York Athletic Club (NYAC) team. As we previously reported, Dale is expected to return to his pro club, Goettingen, in Germany after the summer.
