News and Notes: Wednesday Edition

Below, some news and notes for Wednesday...
  • On Cornell's schedule, Big Red fans should expect to see Cornell on television several times this season. Cornell's upcoming opponents, Maryland, Penn State and Illinois televised virtually every single game last year on their respective nonconference schedules.
  • A few more items to look for in the preseason if you are a big fan of the Cornell basketball program. First, Bill Courtney has still yet to publicly announce the identity of his third assistant coach to replace Ricky Yahn, who left Cornell to take a position at Longwood earlier in the summer. Second, the date of the annual Red-White Game (intersquad scrimmage) has not yet been announced. The Red-White game is always the public's first look at Cornell in action. Third, a glimpse of Cornell's new uniforms and gear which might be rolled out for the Red-White Game in late October/early November. Fourth, a potential announcement concerning Cornell's Redcast coverage which should further enhance each Cornell fan's online viewing/listening experience.

is the announcement going to be that Redcast is going to stop sucking? Because that would definitely enhance my viewing experience.
