  • Cornell RPI WatchThe RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. It does not consider the margin of victory, but only whether or        not a team won and where the game was played (home/away/neutral court). The formula is 25% team                  winning percentage (WP), 50% opponents' average winning percentage (OWP), and 25% opponents'              opponents' average winning percentage (OOWP). (See: CollegeRPI.com for a further explanation of the formula.) The RPI may be the most influential factor in NCAA Tournament seeding. Cornell's RPI rank as of December 5 is No. 207 out of 344 total Division I teams. While neither the Ken Pomeroy or the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) are used by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, the KenPom.com site ranks Cornell No. 237 in the nation, while the Sagarin Rankings (USA Today) have Cornell at No. 237 Both sites are predominantly used by fans and the media.

Any word on Harvard's newest commit? Don't know much about this kid.

The Cornell Basketball Blog said...

He could have been very good on some Division III teams.

So another booster. Are we taking bets on when this kid gets cut from Harvard's roster?

Who are the Cornell commits for 2013?

Nice pic of AT. Remember his enthusiasm and commitment 2007-10.

Anon 12:30: We have two commits so far: Tim Higgins and David Onuorah.

CBB: The past two recruiting classes were largely full by the end of the early signing period, with the exception of Mischler. Is there any reason that we haven't filled out the class, or is it just b/c of the generally unpredictability nature of recruiting?

Cornell is being really selective right now.

What does that mean? It's not like Cornell hasn't been selective during Courtney's first two recruiting classes.
