Robert Hatter Ivy League Rookie of the Week

The Ivy League published its weekly Ivy Awards, naming Robert Hatter as the Rookie of the Week.  The Ivy Office writes:
    ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Cornell freshman guard Robert Hatter (Houston) made big impression in the first two games of his collegiate career in the Big Red’s losses to Syracuse and Loyola (Md). Hatter opened his career with a solid nine-point, two-rebound, two-assist effort in just 14 minutes of action at #8/7 Syracuse. He answered that with a sensational 32-point, six-rebound, five-assist effort in the overtime loss to Loyola (Md.). He scored 20 points in the first half, including a buzzer-beating three-pointer off an offensive rebound and connected on a pair of free throws with three seconds to play to tie the game and send it into overtime.

    Congratulations Hatter, that was intense.

Also, blog, can you please stop talking about "next year when we have Shonn, next year when we have Ra-oof, blah blah blah". Can we live in the present please? That is how one grows and enjoys oneself AND makes the future brighter. I am rather enjoying these youngins' accomplishments and would prefer that you keep not ignoring the present for a future that is not guaranteed. Who can see injuries? Who is to assume Shonn gets a 5th year and two years with Raoof and Hatter (did Peck teach you nothing)? Let us live in the present please.

Shonn is not graduating in 4 years. And he is getting a 5th year AUTOMATIC unless he somehow plays this season (can't see it happening).

And if we are going to say "Who can see injuries?" then I guess we can rule out any guarantee Harvard will win it this year. After all, the team plane could get stranded in Australia by accident.

Why would Harvard go to Australia in the middle of the basketball season?

The point is live in the present dude. But of course you have to argue with everything.

Unlike most fans, I appreciate the past, the present and the future.

Anyway, the blog is not the team or coaches. I'm sure the players are completely focused on one game at a time.

I agree, please let's enjoy this season! There are no guarantees in life or basketball, that is why we play the games! Let's go Big Red!!!
